Forced & Child Labor Policy

Last Updated: October 9, 2026

1. Policy

Feit Electric is committed to the elimination of forced labor and child labor from its operations and supply chain. This policy applies to all Feit Electric operations and to all suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners who produce goods or provide services on behalf of Feit Electric, across all facilities and locations regardless of country or region.

Feit Electric prohibits the use of forced, bonded, or indentured labor, involuntary or prison labor, and any form of human trafficking or slavery. This includes transporting, harboring, recruiting, transferring, or receiving persons by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud for the purpose of labor or services. The use of prison or convict labor is not permitted.

Worker freedom of movement must not be unreasonably restricted, and there shall be no unreasonable restrictions on entering or exiting company-provided facilities. As part of the hiring process, all workers must be provided with documents relevant to their employment in a language they understand, including a clear description of the terms and conditions of employment.

All work must be voluntary. Workers must be free to terminate their employment without penalty. Feit Electric does not permit any supplier or agent to hold, destroy, conceal, or deny access to workers' identity or immigration documents, such as government-issued identification, passports, or work permits, unless required by law.

Foreign migrant workers must not be required to pay recruitment fees, placement fees, or any other fees as a condition of employment. All costs associated with the recruitment and employment of foreign migrant workers, including recruitment costs, are the responsibility of the employer - and not the employee.

Feit Electric prohibits the use of child labor. No person below the minimum legal working age shall be employed. Where local law permits the employment of minors above the minimum age, such employment must not interfere with compulsory education and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing working hours, conditions, and hazardous work restrictions.

Feit Electric conducts ongoing due diligence across its supply chain to identify, assess, and address the risk of forced labor and child labor. This includes periodic supplier disclosure requirements, risk-based assessments of sourcing regions and supplier relationships, and on-site audits of supplier facilities.

Where forced labor or child labor is identified or reasonably suspected, Feit Electric will take prompt corrective action. This may include supplier remediation requirements, sourcing review, or termination of the supplier relationship. Suppliers found in violation may be subject to financial penalties as specified in their supply agreement. Workers affected by violations will be treated with dignity throughout any remediation process. Where the elimination of forced or child labor results in loss of income to affected workers or their families, Feit Electric requires its suppliers to take reasonable steps to mitigate that harm, including transition support or referral to appropriate remediation resources.

Feit Electric requires all suppliers to train their management and supervisory personnel on the requirements of this policy, including identification and prevention of forced and child labor. Suppliers must maintain records of training completion and make them available to Feit Electric upon request.

Feit Electric periodically assesses the effectiveness of its efforts to ensure that forced labor and child labor are not present in its operations or supply chain. This includes review of supplier disclosure returns, audit findings, and remediation outcomes, with results informing annual updates to this policy and related procedures. This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in applicable law, business operations, and sourcing practices.

2. Company and Structure

Feit Electric is a North American lighting company headquartered in Pico Rivera, California, that designs, sources, and distributes lighting products through large retail partners across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Feit Electric sources its products from multiple manufacturing facilities located primarily in Asia through third-party suppliers operating under Feit Electric's product specifications and quality requirements.

3. Applicable Laws

This policy is issued in compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing forced and child labor in all jurisdictions where Feit Electric operates or sources, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico:

  • United States: Tariff Act of 1930, Section 307 — prohibits the importation of goods produced with forced or child labor.
  • Canada: Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Bill S-211) — requires annual supply chain transparency reporting, effective January 1, 2024.
  • Mexico: USMCA Article 23.6 Forced Labor Regulation — prohibits the importation of goods produced with forced or compulsory labor, including child labor, effective May 18, 2023.

4. Highest Risk

New suppliers or new supplier locations are considered the highest risk. Therefore, without exception, these facilities must pass a Social / Ethical audit before the first Purchase Orders can be produced.
